The Light Surgeons founder and director Christopher Thomas Allen will be giving a talk at the Adobe Inspired Media seminar at the Curzon Cinema, Soho, London on the Tuesday 28th of April.

HOME @ SXSW - Austin
Chris Allen and Rob Rainbow’s short film HOME continues to tour to international film festivals! This month screening at the acclaimed Austin independant film (and music) festival, South by Southwest on the 15th and 17th of March.

DIALOG @ THE BIENNALE CUVÉE - Linz
The installation “Dialog” by The Light Surgeons founder and director Christopher Thomas Allen continues to tour various international art exhibitions. It is currently part of the BIENNALE CUVÉE, a collection of art works selected from all the international art biennales in 2008, exhibited at the OK Center for Contemporary Art in Linz, Austria. The exhibition is also part of the offical program for Linz as the European Capital of Culture for 2009. More information on the exhibition can be found here.
BLACKBERRY EXPO STAND @ The GSMA Mobile World Congress - Barcelona
The Light Surgeons created the animated video production for Blackberry’s trade stands at the GSMA Mobile conference in Barcelona and C-BIT technology fair in Germany. More infomation here.
TRUE FICTIONS @ ONEDOTZERO FESTIVAL IN THE BFI IMAX
The Light Surgeons will be presenting their live cinema project, True Fictions at the BFI’s IMAX cinema as part of onedotzero festival on the 15th of November. The show is part of a triple bill along side fellow pioneers in the audio visual arts: D-Fuse and Hexstatic. more event info here.
DIALOG @ The 5th Seoul International Media Art Biennale
Christopher Thomas Allen, founder and director of The Light Surgeons, represents the UK at Media_City Seoul 2008 with his installation “DIALOG” which was originally created for the Articulated Exhibition at the OXO Tower in London. For this presentation of the installation an additional set of typographic films were specially created by Animator Hyeseung Yoo to provide a Korean translation of the peice. The exhibition runs until 5th of November at The Seoul Museum of Art.
TRUE FICTIONS @ THE BIG CHILL FESTIVAL
A year in the making, “True Fictions” will be presented by the BFI in the Media Mix Tent at the Big Chill Festival

The 4mm LED’s were looking great for the international launch of Blackberry’s new Bold 3G mobile, a purely visual operation for The Hospital Events Company in London’s Covent Garden.
