Video design for contemporary dance theatre company C12’s production Watson funded by Arts Council England

We worked with C-12 Dance Theatre in April 2015 to help develop creative visual ideas for their dance theatre performance project WATSON, inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s book “The Empty House”.

This project involved a creative process of developing video design ideas for the story and scenes with the idea of touring and adapting to different spaces in mind. Over the three weeks of research and development, we worked very closely with the director Adam Towndrow, and choreographer Annie-Lunnette Deakin-Foster to come up with designs and creative technology to augment their performance. This involved to large theatrical gauze screens covering the stage and an interactive floor projection.

The result of this project was a scratch performance with an audience in The Albany in South London. The aim was to develop the project into a mid-large scale production that used dance and movement to drive the narrative with the support of immersive video design and music.

The project was supported by funding from the Arts Council England
