Analog 16mm film and slide concert visuals for UK trip-hop pioneers The Sneaker Pimps

One of the studio’s first major musical collaborations with a live band was producing the concert visuals for a US tour for the UK group the Sneaker Pimps in 1997. For this show we used a combination of 16mm film loops and analog 35mm slides collaged together with a backing track on video. The show had a very layered, analogue feel and used a range of different visual aesthetics.

From multiple exposure photography of neon signs shot around London’s Soho, to in-camera motion graphics using a LED display system. The edit below pulls together some of the high lights from the production but unfortunately we don’t have any images of the stage show as it was in the days before we even owned a digital camera!
