Collection of film portraits on 6 designers commissioned by the Crafts Council for the Jerwood Applied Arts prizes exhibition of jewellery


The Jerwood Applied Arts Prize is a partnership between the Crafts Council and Jerwood Charity. Now in its eleventh year, it is an open submission competition that runs over a six-year cycle covering the following creative disciplines: Metal, Jewellery, Ceramics, Glass, Textiles and Furniture.

For the 2007 exhibition The Light Surgeons were commissioned to make a series of six short films for display in the exhibition, presenting a portrait of each short listed jeweller and giving an insight into their working process and background. The artists featured in the films above are Adam Paxton, Grainne Morton, Mah Rana, Nora Fok, Susan Cross & Yoko Izawa.
