Audio-visual installation for iconic French car company Apline’s exhibtion stand at Goodwood Revival Festival

Over the summer of 2025 we were invited by Creative Consultant Sav Remzi to develop an exhibition stand concept for iconic French car company Alpine’s stand at the Goodwood Revival festival in September. Goodwood Revival is the world’s most spectacular historic motor racing event, a celebration of vintage cars and fashion that transports its visitors back to the golden age of motor racing.

For this prestigious event and car brand, we were commissioned by production company Fusion 2K to create a large-scale installation that unified a collection of 51 vintage CRT monitors, an immersive spatial audio system, to forge an audio-visual experience that transported its audiences into this iconic brand’s heritage.

Working closely with our friends at Insight Lighting, we designed the stand around three collections of 17 monitors, each associated with one of the three featured cars on the stand. Each car and Alpine’s brand story were laid out across these screens, meticulously edited across multiple CRT screens from hours of carefully researched archive footage.

Alpine’s 1970s Rallye Du Maroc winner, the A110 Berlinette, was flanked by its epic rally footage and historic races. Their A441 C Len Mans Prototype Class winner was showcased with a collection of classic racing archive, including footage of its pioneering female drivers, Beaumont & Lombari. The end of the stand featured their newly launched Alpine A390 car alongside footage of its various speed tests and beautifully captured footage telling the story of its design and development, including Alpine’s modern and fully electric production lines.

All these modern and archival films were carefully cut and interwoven by editors Rohan Thomas and Louis Walters. They combined this footage with animated photography, instruction manuals, and bespoke animations by artist Reuben Sutherland that evoked the eras of each car and connected with the retro vibes of Goodwood’s Revival. The stand was brought to life with a powerful piece of immersive sound design by Tim Cowie that drew on audio from the archives that placed the audience at the heart of the race, weaving this together with an uplifting original musical composition.
